We are situated right in the centre of Braithwaite village - 2 miles from Keswick. The Old Farmhouse Mews is located at the foot of Whinlatter Pass, just below Thornthwaite Forest is situated in the centre of Braithwaite's beautiful village, which has repeatedly won the “Best Kept Village” award. Just opposite is the village shop where you can buy most of your requirements. Close by, two local pubs offer substantial bar meals and a selection of real ales, ideal for ending a perfect day.

Close by are Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake and the picturesque tourist town of Keswick which offers a variety of restaurants, shops and museums and the famous Theatre by the Lake. Scafell, Helvelyn and Skiddaw – Englands highest mountains are all accessable from our location and there are many other climbing and walking opportunities available in this area of the Northern Lakes.
