Directions to Braithwaite (near Keswick)
The Old Farmhouse Mews is situated in the middle of Braithwaite
village, approximately two miles from Keswick on Derwentwater, the
most Northerly Lake District town. The area is renown for its rugged
beauty, Lakeland fells and lakes. Braithwaite is sheltered by the
Coledale Horseshoe, a semi circle of fells located to the South of
the village (see image above).
From the M6 motorway: take the turning to Penrith (junction 40)
and head West on the A66 towards West Cumbria following signs
for Keswick. After 14 miles ignore the turning into Keswick and
continue to the roundabout. Take the 2nd turning (straight) and drive
for 3 miles until you see signs for Braithwaite and Whinlatter Pass.
Turn left into Braithwaite, and then after 200 yards veer left towards
Newlands. The Old Farmhouse Mews is located on your right.
